2/23/2023 EnchantaVaughn Approved 1.Behavior: Individual session to educate Jahsim on appropriate conflict resolution skills due to recent conflict in school ( last occurring last week). Session held in the community due to a lack of privacy in the home Jahsim was in a positive mood. QMHP-C engaged Jahsim in a discussion to determine his behaviors since the last session. He reported that he did not walk out of class today. 2. Behavior: Jahsim participated in the session and he did not need any redirection from QMHP-C for the remainder of the session. He was cooperative and attentive while participating to the fullest and stating to QMHP-C on how he was going to work on his anger in the home and school setting. 1.Intervention: QMHP-C taught Jahsim conflict resolution skills (e.g., empathy, active listening, âI messagesâ respectful communication, being assertive without being aggressive and compromise). QMHP-C conducted a therapeutic discussion to gage the Jahsimâs understanding of healthy conflict resolution with his siblings and peers. 2. Intervention: QMHP-C educated Jahsim on the importance of learning to interact appropriately with his siblings. QMHP-C taught Jahsim that aggression is not a constructive way to address issues. Jahsim was prompted to acknowledge that his anger is out of proportion to the precipitating event. 1. Response: Jahsim stated that he gets into arguments with his brother and others âbecause people try to take advantageâ. Jahsim stated that he only argues with his sibling when they get on his nerves. Jahsim listened actively to QMHP-C and appeared receptive to the education. Jahsim was able to verbalize some methods of conflict resolution such as walking away before getting to upset, and telling his mother. 2. Response: Jahsim appeared to understand and agreed to utilize strategies to learn to resolve conflict without aggression. Jahsim was able to except responsibility for his easily provoked anger. Jahsim was able to acknowledge that his anger is out of proportion to the precipitating event.
